Lebih dari dua puluh lima tahun, Pak Arif mengabdikan hidupnya untuk membantu orang lain memahami bagaimana sebuah sistem bekerja — dan bagaimana membuatnya bekerja lebih baik.
For more than twenty-five years, Pak Arif devoted his life to helping others understand how a system works — and how to make it work a little better.
Insinyur industri lulusan ITS dan ITB, beliau mengajar di Universitas Merdeka Malang selama sembilan tahun sebelum bergabung dengan Teknik Industri Universitas Brawijaya pada 2008, membimbing generasi demi generasi mahasiswa melalui statistika, simulasi, riset operasi, dan rekayasa sistem.
An industrial engineer trained at ITS and ITB, he taught for nine years at Universitas Merdeka Malang before joining Industrial Engineering at Universitas Brawijaya in 2008, guiding generation after generation of students through statistics, simulation, operations research and systems engineering.
Beliau percaya ilmu harus dibagikan dengan lapang. Blognya selalu dibuka dengan salam — berisi catatan kuliah, juga doa untuk orang tua, keturunan, dan seluruh umat.
He believed knowledge should be given away freely. His blog always opened with a greeting of peace — holding lecture notes, and prayers for his parents, his descendants and the whole community.
